Step 5 of 5

Testing Triggers Before You Trust Them

Confirm a skill fires on the right prompts and skips the wrong ones.

Never assume a description works: exercise it. Build a tiny trigger table: prompts that should load the skill, and near-miss prompts that should not.

  1. Write 3 to 5 positive prompts (real phrasings, not the skill name).
  2. Write 2 to 3 negative prompts that look similar but belong elsewhere.
  3. Run each in a fresh session and note whether the skill loaded.
  4. Tighten or widen the description until the table is all-correct.
