Step 5 of 5

Testing Triggers Before You Trust Them

Confirm a skill fires on the right prompts and skips the wrong ones.

Never assume a description works — exercise it. Build a tiny trigger table: prompts that should load the skill, and near-miss prompts that should not.

  1. Write 3–5 positive prompts (real phrasings, not the skill name).
  2. Write 2–3 negative prompts that look similar but belong elsewhere.
  3. Run each in a fresh session and note whether the skill loaded.
  4. Tighten or widen the description until the table is all-correct.
