Welcome to Learn Claude Skills: Paths, Guides, and a Community for Skill Builders

Learn Claude Skills exists for one reason: skills are the most leveraged thing you can learn to build in the agent ecosystem right now, and the fastest way to learn them is by building one. This post is the short tour: what is live today, and what is coming next.

What is live today

• Three guided learning paths: beginner to advanced, fourteen hands-on lessons. You write a real SKILL.md in the first path, make it trigger reliably in the second, and package it for sharing in the third.
• Standalone guides: single-task how-tos for when you need one answer fast, covering where skills live, fixing a skill that won’t trigger, converting a repeated prompt into a skill, vetting a shared skill before installing it, running one skill set across tools, and bundling helper scripts.
• This blog: updates on the site and, more usefully, on the moving parts of the skills world that affect how you build.

The community we are building

Learning alone works; learning in company works better. The next phase of this site is a community of people who build skills and show their work, and it has three parts.

• Submit your skill. There is now a submission form on the Community page. Share what you built. We read every submission, and the strongest ones get featured here on the blog and considered for the ClaudeSkillsGuide directory, our sibling catalog site.
• Video walkthroughs. I will be recording skill builds end-to-end: real skills from my own workspace, built on camera, including the parts where triggering fails and gets fixed. Subscribers hear first when the first videos drop.
• My own skills, shared. The skills I use in production (the ones running real client and publishing work) will be published and written up here, with the reasoning behind their design, not just the files.

Why now

The SKILL.md format graduated from a Claude feature into a published open standard that a growing list of agent tools can read. A skill you write today is a durable, portable unit of work, which makes right now the highest-return moment to learn the craft properly. The open-standard story and what it changes for authors is the subject of its own post.
